1. Ways to predict and prevent early bearing failure

In important mechanical equipment, the service life of bearings is an important indicator. It is necessary to understand and master the working status of bearings, predict and prevent early bearing failure. There are usually the following main ways:

Adopt advanced technology to improve the life and reliability of bearings. Including structural optimization design, improvement of processing technology, refining and selection of materials, high-efficiency and high-cleanliness lubrication, fine assembly and installation, etc.

Strengthen the quality inspection and supervision of bearing products to ensure that the quality of bearing products meets the relevant standards or design requirements.

Strengthen the inspection and diagnosis of the working status of bearings, detect abnormalities as early as possible, and take preventive measures to prevent major losses that may be caused by sudden accidents.

2. Fault diagnosis and monitoring system

Modern bearing fault diagnosis technology is associated with precise testing systems and detection methods. At present, the more mature detection systems in practical applications are as follows:

Bearing pulse vibration measuring device. After the bearing is fatigued (or fatigued and peeled off), vibration is generated, and the receiver converts the mechanical pulse signal into an electrical signal for amplification. When the number of pulses exceeds the normal range and reaches a sudden change, an alarm is immediately issued and the bearing is stopped.

Bearing temperature alarm device. Poor bearing lubrication, surface wear or fatigue will cause the surface to heat up. When a certain limit temperature is reached, an alarm will be sounded immediately and the bearing will stop working.

Regular operation inspection. Regularly check the status of the running bearing to find or monitor existing defects and their development trends.

Ferrography diagnostic method. Regularly extract grease samples from the working bearing and use a ferrography to detect the number, size and shape characteristics of the

abrasive particles in it, which can find the degree of fatigue and wear and the signs of bearing failure.
